- Checkout items(s) as usual

HOW TO HANDLE A CODE GRAY
Besides flowers and sunshine, Spring weather can be scary. If you are working an evening shift and the loudspeaker announces CODE GRAY, here are tips on what to do.
If a Tornado Watch is announced, conditions are right for a tornado to occur. Do the following:
- Monitor weather
- Close windows, curtains, and blinds in occupied areas
- Test flashlights (in top drawer -- above TV Remotes)
If a Tornado Warning is announced, conditions for a tornado have been sighted or indicated by weather radar. Do the following:
- Close all doors
- DO NOT take the elevator
- Take flashlights
- Move all Library visitors away from windows and to the College basement or interior hallways
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding these instructions. Also, refer to the Emergency Response Codes & Info at Front Desk.

Library Closing Reminder
Just a reminder of Closing Procedures:
- Log off both front desk computers (do not shut down)
- LOCK laptop cabinets - we are unlocking in the morning and putting the keys away, so you shouldn't need to worry about that. If the key is out, please put it in the glass mug in the workroom (let me know if you don't know where this is). The small key is for the padlock and the bigger one marked "C" is for the cabinet where the Chromebooks are kept. Normally, this one is locked, but please check it every night.
- Turn off 4 TVs - 2 on 3rd floor, 2 on 4th floor, remotes are in drawer with headphones
- Turn off stained glass window display on 4th floor
- Push in chairs - at tables & computers on 3rd & 4th floors
- Turn off lights IF no one is in the Library - they can be left on if their are clients here working
- Turn off workroom lights and shut workroom door - it locks automatically
Let Kaitlyn or Noreen know if you have any questions. Thanks!
