Laptop Procedures
There have been some errors with Laptop procedures lately. Please follow these steps for Laptop Check Out/In:
Check Out Procedures:
- Have client fill out Laptop Loan Agreement Form. Complete Laptop Number, Power Cord Number & Mouse section. Print & sign (or initial) the Check-Out section.
- Put Form in appropriate spot in drawer.
- Check out Laptop to client in Sierra.
Check In Procedures:
- Make sure Laptop is powered OFF and that all parts are in the bag -- Laptop, Power Cord & Mouse.
- Check in Laptop in Sierra.
- Put Laptop back in cabinet.
- Complete Check In section of Laptop Loan Agreement Form. Put Form in appropriate spot in drawer.
Before the end of your shift, check the drawer for any agreements for checked-out Laptops. If any agreement forms remain, check cabinet to see if Laptops were returned. If a Laptops is here, double-check the client's record in Sierra to be sure that the Laptop is check in and no longer on client's account. If a Laptop is still checked out, look for the client in the Library. If you cannot find the client before closing, leave the Laptop Loan Agreement Form on Noreen or Kaitlyn's desk with a note indicating that the Laptop was not returned.
